Automated Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) for ITOps

Stop triaging performance and security issues in separate silos. xVisor automatically correlates every layer of your application-delivery infrastructure to pinpoint root cause — cutting MTTA from hours to minutes, and MTTR from days to minutes.

Most AIOps platforms tell you what broke. xVisor also tells you whether it’s a performance problem or a security one — because it triages both from the same correlated data set.

The Challenge

Why Root-Cause Analysis Is Getting Harder, Not Easier

In today’s cloud-centric, virtualized IT environments, RCA has become too complex for traditional methods to keep up with. Data volumes and types keep growing, infrastructure keeps getting more distributed, and endpoints keep multiplying. Traditional IT tools are limited in analyzing that volume of heterogeneous data in real time — the result is high Mean Time to Acknowledge (MTTA) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and degraded performance for applications, users, and the business outcomes that depend on them.

There’s a lot of data shrouded in noise, and not much of it is actionable. When a user reports slow or unavailable access to an application, the root cause could be at the server domain (high resource utilization, a database connection issue), in the network domain (packet drops, high CPU at a router/switch, a broadcast attack), or in the services domain (a connection-capacity limit at a load balancer, DNS failures, authentication errors) — or something as simple as an Active Directory/LDAP outage cascading through all three.

These domains are interdependent. A problem in one layer easily bleeds into another, but most IT teams still triage in silos — network, application, and security teams each working with their own limited views, with no cross-domain event correlation. This disjointed triage is exactly what makes RCA slow.

How xVisor Solves It

Ennetix’s xVisor AIOps platform streamlines the RCA process with a single, integrated approach to triage both performance and security issues — instead of the disjointed, domain-by-domain triage most teams are stuck with today.

Continuous, end-to-end measurement

xVisor measures and analyzes every user transaction across the network path and service stack, from local client performance to API behavior to cloud resources.

Cross-domain event correlation

Instead of treating network, application, and security telemetry as separate streams, xVisor correlates them in real time to isolate the true originating cause of an issue.

Performance and security in one pass

When an anomaly occurs, xVisor evaluates both operational metrics and behavioral security indicators simultaneously, answering not just where the failure is, but what kind of incident it is.

Actionable root-cause reporting

Rather than sending multiple alerts for symptoms cascading across the stack, xVisor generates a single root-cause finding with context for fast remediation.
Why xVisor

Why xVisor for Automated RCA?

xVisor combines network, application, infrastructure, and security telemetry in one AIOps platform, using continuous topology discovery to keep dependency context current as the environment changes. Rather than treating detection, correlation, and root-cause analysis as one blurred capability, xVisor structures them as a clear pipeline — so teams can see exactly which stage of investigation they’re in and trust the probable cause it surfaces.

Questions

FAQs

It identifies the likely underlying source of IT or security issues by correlating logs, metrics, and alerts to help reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR) rather than leaving teams to investigate each alert individually.

Instead of engineers manually cross-referencing dashboards across tools, xVisor correlates signals and topology context automatically, narrowing a large alert volume down to a probable cause.

Yes — RCA findings can integrate with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow to support faster resolution workflows.
